Join us for an afternoon of photography as we head to the Old Truman Brewery to check out the Free Range Exhibition, showcasing the best new work of the country's latest art, design and photography graduates.

Housed in the cavernous splendour of Brick Lane's Old Truman Brewery, Free Range 2008 boasts an incredible 400,000 square foot of dedicated exhibition space and is set to feature over 3,000 of the UK's leading graduate artists drawn from 45 of the country's finest art colleges.

In today's category of 'Interior Design & Architecture', we'll be able to see work by students from several different Universities whose various displays will be shown in different parts of this building.

We'll be starting off the day at nearby bar XXXXX (full details available to view upon booking) where one of our hosts will meet everyone for a chance to chat, relax and socialise together over a drink before heading over to the Old Truman Brewery at around 3pm.

And afterwards we'll be able to head onto one of the area's many bars or curry houses to talk about what we've seen and continue our Saturday!

What

Join a group of fellow CitySocialisers for a laid-back Saturday afternoon of food and art culture as we take a look at the BP Portrait Award exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery.

This annual competition is aimed at encouraging artists to focus upon and develop the theme of portraiture in their work. From almost 2000 entries, this exhibition has been created from a selection chosen by the judges.

With £25,000 offered to the winner, and the launching of a successful career tempting the artists, these outstanding and innovative works are all out to grab our attention.

We'll also be able to judge a winner for ourselves, with the BP Visitor Choice award allowing us to register our vote for the portrait we think is best!

Our group will be meeting up for drinks and lunch first at XXXXX (full details available to view upon booking) where one of our hosts will be expecting you when you arrive.

We'll have just over an hour and a half here together to chat, relax and socialise together over food and drinks before heading over to the National Portrait Gallery, where we'll take a look at the BP Portrait Award exhibition.

And afterwards we can head off somewhere in the nearby area to discuss what we've seen and continue the afternoon with a bit more CitySocialising!

Entry to the gallery is free. All personal food/drinks must be paid (in cash) on the day.
