Feedback from our monthly New Members' nights is always great. These evenings help to reassure you that the people we attract are as laid-back, down-to-earth, fun-loving and friendly as we say they are, and around 90% of people who attend go on to continue socialising with us!
We've got the upstairs lounge of central venue, Bar Potion, reserved exclusively for us and one of our hosts will be on hand to welcome you when you arrive and answer any questions you have about the service.
But really the evening's just a great opportunity to take the plunge and start getting social with us so we hope to see you there.

Begin your weekend with a top night out with some fellow CitySocialisers at XXXXX (full details to view upon booking) for the most contemporary, chic and coolest Mexican experience in London!
Set on Bethnal Green Road, the team behind XXXXX have scoured the dusty towns of central Mexico to gather together over a hundred of the finest tequilas available.
They've eaten their way through the cantinas, taqueiras and street stalls of Jalisco - the home of tequila - learning real home-cooking Jaliscan style along the way and have brought their experiences back to London!
Set over two levels, the service is really friendly and the ambience is lively and vibrant (with DJs playing a mix of funk, soul and rock n roll with a bit of salsa and rumba thrown in) without the usual cheesy sombrero and stuffed donkey Mexicana.
Aside from sampling their selection of 100% agave tequilas either by sipping neat or mixed in with the freshest ingredients in their cocktails (including a pomegranate margerita!), there is also a great range of Mexican beers and an exclusively Latin wine list on offer.
And their tasty bar menu includes snacks like home-made tortilla chips and Mexican meatballs or delicious tacos with fillings like slow roasted pork belly with avocado salsa, deep fried whitebait with arbol chilli and chargrilled steak with a chipotle salsa. Tacos range from £6.50 - £8.50.
Awarding them the much coveted Bar Of The Year accolade in 2006, the Evening Standard complimented them as "an original bar serving top cocktails and great food in a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere - a worthy winner". And with recommendations from Time Out, The Guardian and The Independent too it's definitely one to visit.

Proms in the Park favourites the BBC Concert Orchestra also return, to fill the park with orchestral favourites.
The fun kicks off late afternoon as Aled Jones gets the party under way with Abba tribute band Björn Again, all-male vocal group Teatro and boisterous 12-piece big band Bellowhead.
The evening culminates in a live big-screen link-up to the Royal Albert Hall, so we can sing our socks off in the irresistible sequence of familiar tunes - including Land of Hope and Glory, Jerusalem and the National Anthem.
You are encouraged to bring any picnic food and drink over to the park to enjoy on the day.
Our group will be meeting first for drinks and a chance to chat, relax and socialise together at XXXXX (full details available to view upon booking) before heading over to Hyde Park to enjoy the music!
ALL GUESTS WILL BE REQUIRED TO PRE-BOOK THEIR OWN TICKET TO THE PROMS IN THE PARK IN ADVANCE (£25 + booking fee). Instructions on how to do this will be provided in your My Social Diary section upon booking.

Our group will be meeting first for food (optional), drinks and a chance to chat, relax and socialise together at XXXXX (full details available to view upon booking) before heading off to South Kensington tube to meet the London Walks tour guide.

14/09/2008 - THE THAMES FESTIVAL

Join a group of CitySocialisers as we head to the Thames festival to celebrate London and its great river.
The Mayor’s Thames festival is a spectacular, free celebration taking place between Westminster Bridge and Tower Bridge.
The festival brings Londoners together in the very heart of the capital to dance, make sculptures, listen to music, watch movies, drink, eat, enjoy performances, sail on the Thames and dance in the streets!
There’s plenty going on throughout the day, from creative visual art at the Oxo gallery to short films at the BFI, and freerunning at the jubilee gardens. There’s even a fair-trade village located in Hibernia Wharf.
In the evening, otherwise busy London roads are closed to traffic for the Festival’s spectacular Night Carnival. Over 2,000 musicians, dancers, performers and masqueraders come from across the country and the world with their amazing lanterns, illuminated costumes and fantastic structures – an incredible and un-missable display of carnival creativity.
The Carnival starts at 6pm on Victoria Embankment, travels east crossing the Thames at Blackfriars Bridge, and finishes behind the Royal National Theatre.
One of our hosts will meet everyone first at XXXXX pub near Blackfriars (full details available to view upon booking), for a drink or two, a bite to eat (optional), and a chance to chat, relax and socialise together before heading out to enjoy the festival and London's great river!
And afterwards, we can head on to one of the area's many bars to continue our Sunday with more CitySocialising.
Entry to the festival is free.
Maximum 16 places available. Add no-reply@citysocialising.com to ensure you receive our reminder email.

If you live or work in or around the area and are up for meeting some new local friends to socialise with, it's an ideal night to do just that!
XXXXX's anonymous fronting keeps it somewhat of a hidden secret in Greenwich. However, the front section opens up into a large, recently refurbished conservatory area where an eclectic mix of furniture and clusters of comfy chesterfields creates a decadent feel.
We can settle in and enjoy XXXXX’s top-notch selection of fine wines or, alternatively, their extensive range of beers and spirits.
They also serve a great selection of bar snacks through til 10pm.

Join us for a gruesome history lesson, a few Thursday night drinks and some CitySocialising as we tread carefully and keep away from the shadows on London Walks' Jack The Ripper tour.
We'll be following the trail of blood left by London’s most notorious villain....along the rippers slashing grounds, which evoke that autumn of gaslight and fog, of menacing shadows and stealthy footsteps.
We'll inspect the murder sites, sift through the evidence, and get to grips, so to speak, with the main suspects!
And afterwards we can steady our nerves in The Ten Bells, the pub where the victims, perhaps under the steely gaze of the Ripper himself, tried to forget the waking nightmare - the perfect place for us to enjoy a few Thursday night drinks, and wind down after this chilling walk.
Our group will be meeting first for food (optional), drinks and a chance to chat, relax and socialise together at XXXXX (full details available to view upon booking) before heading off to Tower Hill tube to meet the London Walks tour guide at 7.30pm.

Join a group of fellow CitySocialisers for a laid-back Sunday afternoon of art culture as we visit the Francis Bacon exhibition at Tate Britain.
Francis Bacon's weirdly warped images are so well known they're instantly recognisable as his.
Bacon’s influence will undoubtedly continue to be felt for centuries to come. At this, the first major retrospective in London since 1985, important paintings from each period of his life are exhibited alongside one another.
His paintings of the 1940s in particular are of a style that shot him to a worldwide fame, many of which were done in a hungover haze or after little or no sleep.
Our group will be meeting up for drinks and food (optional) first at XXXXX (full details available to view upon booking) where one of our hosts will be expecting you when you arrive.
We'll have just over an hour and a half here together to chat, relax and socialise together over food and drinks before heading over to the Tate Britain.
And afterwards we can head off somewhere in the nearby area to discuss what we've seen and continue the afternoon with a bit more CitySocialising!
Entry to the exhibition is £12.50. All personal food/drinks must be paid (in cash) on the day.

Host James will test our nerve and knowledge with his brain twisting conundrums and tricky questions once the quiz starts at 8.30pm.
We’ll be able to pool together, or unleash our competitive sides in teams, over a bite to eat (optional) and a few drinks at Clapham’s legendary weekly event.
We have a table area reserved exclusively for us at XXXXX, and one of our hosts will be there when you arrive to welcome you and settle you in to the evening so you can simply unwind, chat, socialise and have fun!

If you fancy getting active and trying something new this Tuesday night, come with us as we take a Ceroc dancing class!
Since the early 80’s Ceroc has developed its own unique style which is easy to learn and great fun. Closely resembling Jive and Salsa dancing, Time Out magazine recommend it as "a great way to keep fit, socialise and enjoy a complete night out"!
We'll be taking the 45 minute beginners class tonight which is followed by a freestyle session where we can practice the moves we've learnt!
After the 30 minute intermediate class, the night out really starts when the DJ takes command for the next hour and a half of pure uninterrupted dance where we can improve our dance style and soak up the atmosphere!
We'll be meeting first at nearby bar XXXXX (full details available to view upon booking) where one of our hosts will be at a reserved table when you arrive to welcome you and settle you in to the evening.
We'll have an hour to relax, grab a drink and a bite to eat, socialise, and have fun getting to know everyone before heading over to the class which starts at 7.30pm.
You will need to pay £2 for a membership card. It will then cost £8 for the class and freestyle.
It's recommend that you avoid trainers and wear something with a smooth sole.

If you've registered with us but haven't yet been to a Social, or perhaps you've been to a couple but would like to find out more, we'd like to invite you to attend our New Members' Social to come and have a chat and meet some of our other newbies and 'first and second-timers' for a drink or two.
Please do not book your place unless you are a new member or a 'first or second timer' and can definitely attend as space for this Social is limited. Add no-reply@citysocialising.com to ensure you receive our confirmation email after booking.
